About the Artist

Cassy Ladner is a mixed media artist who grew up amidst the scenic and breathtaking landscapes of Kelowna, BC, Canada. Her art embodies the spirit of the everyday person with a deep love for animals and nature. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, she creates vibrant expressive pieces that bring joy and a pop of colour to any space.

Her nearly 19 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces deepened her sense of resilience, belonging, and attention to detail — qualities that now shape the way she observes the world and brings it to life through her art. These experiences weave themes of connection and the shared human journey into her work, inviting viewers to see themselves reflected in the animals and natural forms she paints.

Cassy continues to build her art career, creating work that feels honest, uplifting, and rooted in the powerful relationship between people, animals, and the natural world.

Artist Statement

In the studio I experiment with a mix of materials and techniques, creating art that is both sophisticated and whimsical. I focus on abstract realism allowing my passion for creativity to translate into expressive and joyful pieces that resonate with the universal experiences of life. Each piece aims to evoke happiness and connection, offering viewers a vibrant escape and a splash of joy to their surroundings.

With a focus on resilience, creativity, purpose, connection, and vibrancy, I strive to create art that not only reflects my unique perspective but also brings warmth and inspiration into everyday life. As I continue to expand my creative process and following, my mission remains the same; to spread happiness through art.
